Removal of wisdom teeth and retained teeth<\/h2>\n

A removal of the wisdom teeth is indicated by non- or partial perforation or where complications occur regarding the perforation, i.e. inflammation of the surrounding area. Wisdom teeth can sometimes be misplaced in the bone. They can also be the cause of many different afflictions.<\/p>\n

Cysts removal<\/h2>\n

Cysts are pathological cavities that grow expansively. Jaw cysts can displace and destroy surrounding structures. By removing the cysts, the disease can be treated.<\/p>\n

Apex resection<\/h2>\n

An apex resection is the removal of the apex, which is performed in cases of inflammations or cysts at the apex. The goal of the resection is the preservation of the tooth. In most cases, tooth loss can be prevented.<\/p>\n

3D X-Ray\/ digital volumentomography<\/h2>\n

Centerdent dental practice is equipped witht the most modern X-ray technology. With digital tomography, the tooth and bone structure are 3-dimentionally displayed. The x-ray tube rotates around the head of the patient, the images created in this process are combined within a few minutes, into a 3D image and are subsuquently selected using computer software. The amount of radiation is significantly lower than with a CT computed tomogram.<\/p>\n

While in a conventional X-ray image, as well as with a photograph, the structures can only be viewed two-dimensionally, in a 3D image, the structures can be precisely assessed in all three dimensions.<\/p>\n

The 3-D images allow accurate planning of the upcoming procedure as well as the exact presentation of important anotomic structures such as the nerve specimen and jaw bone. This is fundamental in the success of the operative intervention.<\/p>\n

  • bone or joint disorders<\/li>\n
  • visualization of nerve exits and progressions (for use in implant planning or extraction of wisdom teeth)<\/li>\n
  • bone trauma including fractures of the teeth, jaw and jawbone<\/li>\n
  • pathologies of the jaw bone<\/li>\n
  • localization of foreign bodies in the jaw<\/li>\n
  • implants<\/li>\n
